That’s why I created the Yoga Fundamentals Workshop: a space where we break everything down like detectives on a case, piecing together the “how” and “why” of each pose. It’s part discovery, part play, and entirely full of ahaaa moments and good laughs.

I joined Ariel’s Yoga Fundamental for me to have a better understanding of the practice. After the workshop, I not just understand the practice but I also understand myself, that I am and each one is unique and i can be kinder to myself in times that some can execute the pose and I am not able.

    My favourite part about the workshop is it felt like a personal one-to-one session as Ariel took the time to correct everyone’s poses and highlighted where and what one did incorrectly and how one can improve. I also loved the part where Ariel asked each of us to demonstrate and from there, pointed out things like why one person’s pose look different from the others. She also asked how the student felt and then she address the possible reasons for the discomfortl (if any). Maybe it’s me being nerdy but the tiny little bit Ariel shared about the different hip bones anatomy hammered the point the reason that not everyone may not be able to do certain poses and how to one person, it’s easy to go into a pose but to others it may not be due to anatomical reason.

    2-Day Workshop Breakdown Details

    Day 1: Exploring the Foundations

    When: Saturday, Feb 22 | 10am – 1:30pm
    Where: Damai Studio

    Start your morning by tuning into your breath with focused breathwork exercises. We’ll dive into myofascial release to ease tension and prepare your body for movement. Then, we’ll explore the essentials: sun salutations and standing poses. 

    Day 2: Deepening the Practice

    When: Sunday, Feb 23 | 9:30am – 1pm
    Where: Panorama Condo KLCC Multi-Purpose Hall (1.6KM away from Damai Studio)

    We’ll kick off with breathwork before venturing into heart-opening backbends and releasing tension with transformative hip openers. This session is all about creating space in your body and exploring deeper connections in your practice.


    This workshop is good for beginners and season Yogis to gain better insight to yoga. Good to have a feel to see how workshop being run to test out one interest before take up full yoga course. I gain better understanding of yoga pose and concepts. I like interactive sessions between participants, and together giving our view to allow us to apply our understanding of pose. Highly recommended.

    Do I need any yoga experience to attend this workshop?

    No prior experience is needed! This workshop is suitable for both beginners and seasoned practitioners who want a deeper understanding of the foundations of asanas (postures).

    What should I bring to the workshop?

    Please bring your own yoga mat, water bottle and a sweat towel. 

    What’s the difference between day 1 and day 2? And what if I can only attend one day?

    That’s perfectly fine! You can sign up for just one day if it fits your schedule. Each day focuses on a different group of postures.

    Day 1 will cover primarily standing poses.

    Day 2 will focus on backbends and hop opening poses.

    While each day offers a complete experience, attending both will give you a comprehensive understanding of foundational postures.

    Will I get to ask questions during the workshop?

    Yes, definitely! The workshop is highly interactive. It’s not just about me teaching—you’ll have plenty of opportunities to ask questions, get personalized guidance, and engage in discussions. This is a space for you to explore and understand, so feel free to speak up and participate.

    How do I secure my spot?

    To secure your spot, full payment is required.

    What if I need to cancel?

    I understand that plans can change. If you cancel 5 days or less before the workshop, no refund will be offered. However, for cancellations made earlier than that, 90% of the amount paid will be refunded.
